Italic Lettering

Image “Growth”: these are Renate’s own words. This page is part of my collection of similarly-themed quotations and artwork. The next page peeks through casually-torn windows.

“Wildflowers”: this special lyric became a special gift. The painted flowers (acrylic) right on the wood incorporate the  frame.

This was a gift for a new baby. The italic letters are more flourished than usual.

Paper, background treatments and ink choices need to work together.  The rough copy above shows a problem in letter form because I didn’t test everything (paper plus paint plus ink) beforehand!

ImageYou can use the same lettering styles with a flat brush on the wall. Choose the right letter height based on the width of the brush. Sydney’s kitchen pantry was the perfect spot for this phrase.
